Official launch of the social enterprise Cánh Diều Việt Nam

August 2025 marks the official launch of the social enterprise Cánh Diều Việt Nam (CDV). CDV was established with the support from ChildFund Vietnam, an international orgnasiation with 30 years of operations in Vietnam, ensuring that a local team has a strong foundation for sustainability, independence, and long-term impact. This is a natural and necessary step toward enabling local leadership—and a powerful example of what true partnership looks like.

Led by a group of dedicated and experienced Vietnamese professionals, born from local experience and ownership, CDV will inherit and expand upon the socio-economic progress Vietnam has made, while bringing fresh energy and innovation to the challenges ahead.

Guided by the vision of “a safe and inclusive Vietnam where every vulnerable child can rise, thrive, and shape a better future with their communities—free from violence and full of opportunity”, CDV will focus on inclusive education, mental health, youth entrepreneurship, digital skills, and climate resilience initiatives – particularly in ethnic minority communities and emerging urban contexts.

Cánh Diều Việt Nam looks forward to the companionship of everyone and our partners on the journey to fulfill our mission — creating a just and sustainable future where every child is protected, cared for, and empowered to shine.
